Go Icon's Story
The journey to Go Icon began with a deeply personal experience. When CEO, Ryan Galea’s grandmother fell ill, he witnessed firsthand the immense challenges senior care—particularly the impact of staffing shortages on caregivers, residents, families and the overall quality of care. Seeing his grandmother struggle through an experience that was far from ideal ignited a profound sense of purpose. “She didn’t have a great experience,” Ryan shares. “That motivated me to quit my job and build a platform that could make a difference.” Fueled by this mission, he launched Go Icon, a company born from the merger of VoiceFriend and Caremerge. Since then, Go Icon has worked to redefine and revolutionize communication and engagement in senior living with one fervent goal: Deliver a phenomenal aging experience for all.
