Big things are coming this June! We’re rolling out a variety of exciting resident-facing updates, enhancements, and new features designed to improve the experience for both residents and staff. This page will help your team stay informed, prepared, and ready to make the most of everything that’s ahead.

Go Icon & 1-800-Flowers Partnership

Through this exclusive partnership, your community now has access to a built-in eCards & Gifting experience, available at no additional cost. Residents can easily send thoughtful free eCards and discounted gifts in just a few clicks directly from the Go Icon platform, helping them foster connection, share moments of joy, celebrate milestones and more.

What You Should Know

  • Coming June 8, 2026: eCards will be automatically enabled for all resident users, making it easier than ever for residents to celebrate, connect, and brighten someone’s day with just a few clicks.
  • Communities will have full control over the experience and can enable or disable eCards and gifting at any time within Community Engagement Configuration Settings.
  • Communities can also choose to activate the integrated 1-800-Flowers.com gifting marketplace, allowing residents to seamlessly send gifts directly through the platform. 

Meet Gia - Residents' Friendly Go Icon Assistant

Gia is the intelligent AI assistant built into Go Icon, designed to create a smarter, more connected resident experience through simple, natural conversation. Residents can instantly access information, explore dining menus and events, make reservations, submit work orders, and stay informed with community announcements — all without searching or navigating menus. Available on both web and mobile, Gia combines convenience, accessibility, and modern AI technology to deliver fast, personalized support and a more seamless, resident-focused digital experience.

What You Should Know

  • Gia will need to be enabled by community leadership in the Community Engagement Configuration Settings.
  • If Gia is enabled by the community, residents will also have the ability to turn Gia off or on in their personal settings at any time.
  • Gia only searches and surfaces information residents already have permission to access.
  • Residents can interact with Gia using natural language through both typing and voice search on mobile.

Simply ask Gia a question to quickly find information, discover community resources, learn about upcoming activities and events, get help navigating the portal, and more. The more you interact with Gia, the better she becomes at providing personalized, helpful responses.

To get started, click the Gia icon and type your question—it’s that easy!

Please note: Gia is always learning and improving, but responses may not always be 100% accurate. For important information, please verify details with your community staff when needed.

Prefer not to use Gia? You can turn the assistant off at any time in your personal Go Icon Settings.

A Bold and Modern New Look is Coming to the Resident App & Portal!

We’re excited to share that we’re giving the Go Icon Resident App & Portal a bold new refresh throughout June to create a more modern, intuitive, and engaging experience for every user. With cleaner design, improved navigation, and a more seamless user experience, the platform will feel faster, easier, and more enjoyable to use every day.

What You Should Know

  • The refreshed resident experience is completely optional and can be enabled through the Community Engagement Configuration Center at your community’s discretion.
  • Communities that choose not to enable the refreshed experience can continue using the current resident experience without any disruption to existing functionality.
  • If your community chooses to enable the refreshed experience, residents will have the flexibility to opt in or opt out of the refreshed experience at any time. The update focuses on enhanced visuals, usability, and aesthetics while maintaining the familiar functionality they already know and use.
  • The following pages will be refreshed and released in phases throughout June: Announcements, Groups, Calendar, Directory & Profiles, Reservations, Discussions, Photos & Videos, and Forms.
  • Additional enhancements and experience improvements are planned for future quarters.
